Tonight he’s performing the whole of the 1979 classic album “Dirk Wears White Sox” plus some additional songs and  there’s a packed Concorde 2 crowd here to bear witness. Jordan, punk icon and long time friend of Adam Ant is in attendance and his band “The Good, The Madd And The Lovely” are an energetic bunch who can certainly do the songs justice.

Adam Ant is greeted with huge cheers when he arrives on stage and kicks the set off with “Cartrouble”. From there, it’s a rollercoaster ride as the band storm through great versions of “Day I Met God”, “Tabletalk”, “Cleopatra” and “Catholic Day”.

Hard to believe that these songs are 36 years old as Adam and the band attack them with an intensity that bands a fraction of his age should check out as a lesson in stagecraft and showmanship. He looks to be in great shape and is chatty and friendly with the audience.

The last three songs played are “Kings Of The Wilds Frontier” which elicits a loud and enthusiastic sing along, followed by “Zerox” and then finally “Physical”. A man who knows how to put on a show and entertain a crowd. Adam Ant is a class act always worth seeing.
